My Work

Here is where I get to prove myself. Below is a collection of my work from the last couple years. Each project was completed as a class assignment, but some required me to partner with a local organization, and I like to think of those projects as a school/professional hybrid.

Design Projects

My coursework’s design projects required me to learn and practice new skills which—in addition to the principles of design—included audience analysis, client relations, website building, and HTML.

My favorite elements of design are proximity and alignment. There’s just something thrilling about strategically placing content to convey the right message or idea.

Editing Project

Editing documents is one of my favorite skills I’ve gained so far. I don’t necessarily mean editing by hand or learning how to “Track Changes” in Microsoft Word (although those have been fun to learn too). I mean the ability to take something raw or even well-used and sharpen it or update it so it reaches its full potential. While editing, for some, may be the boring part of a project, I find it one of the most rewarding.

Writing Projects

In any college program, a student does an extensive amount of writing. I’ve collected three samples of different kinds of writing—technical, scientific, and literary—to show that my writing abilities transcend genre or application and are adaptable to whatever type of project I might take on.
